IGE Gets Mining Rights for South African Project

IGE Resources has obtained the mining rights for its Bakerville diamond project, located near Johannesburg, South Africa.

 

The Bakerville project has a verified resource base of 454,000 carats and additional potential resources of 579,000 carats.

 

IGE will spend ZAR67.5m ($9.5m) out of the required ZAR90m ($12.7m) investment for bringing the mine into full commercial operation.

 

The company will work out a time for start-up of production after assessing the diamond market and the currency exchange rate in South Africa.

 

IGE CEO Tomas Fellbom said: "We are very pleased to receive the mining right, which represents an important step in bringing our diamond business forward. The size and grades of the Bakerville diamonds are attractive and the mine will be a valuable contribution to our portfolio when operational."

 

IGE has a 55% interest in the Bakerville diamond project, with an exclusive option to acquire an additional 19% by November 2011 from Pannex for a consideration of $2.5m.

Mining News: Coal India to Develop Underground Mine

The world's largest coal producer, Coal India, is set to develop a new underground mine in the state of Jharkhand, India .

 

Located at Muraidih, near Dhanban, the site has 20 million tons of coal reserves, according to PTI.

 

A source from Coal India told PTI that the tender, finalised a month ago, was floated by its subsidiary Bharat Coking Coal.

 

The mine is expected to begin its production within three years, with an estimated production capacity of two million tons per annum.

Arch Coal has signed a five-year agreement with Canadian Crown Corporation Ridley Terminals (RTI) to export coal to Canada's Pacific Coast.

 

Arch will have an output of two million tons of coal for 2011 at the terminal and up to 2.5 million tons of coal for 2012 through 2015.

 

Arch chairman and CEO Steven Leer said the deal complements its investment in the Millennium Bulk Terminal and will facilitate the expansion of its business into the Asia-Pacific region.

 

RTI president George Dorsey said the agreement will enable the company to double its capacity by 2015.

 

The company aims to reach 24 million tons of coal loading capacity per annum by 2015 from its 12 million ton capacity.

Mining News: Official, Liaoning coal resources may only enough for 20 yrs

The remaining and newly discovered coal resources in northeastern China's Liaoning province may be only used for 20 years due to accelerating depletion caused by high consumption in the province, local paper reported, citing officials.

Besides the existing reserves of 4 billion tonnes, the province discovered some 3 billion tonnes in recent years, but generally only half of which, or 3.5 billion tonnes could be mined, said Chen Bicheng, head of the provincial coal industry bureau in an interview.

Considering last year's consumption of 165 million tonnes and expected annual use of 170 million tonnes during the 12th Five-Year Plan, these reserves may only enough for 20 years or so, Chen said.

Though with complete coal types, Liaoning can merely produce 60 million tonnes coal each year. It has to buy 100 million tonnes from Inner Mongolia, Heilongjiang and Shanxi, Chen added.

To alleviate local resources pressure, Liaoning has started to develop coal resources in other provinces. The Philippines human rights have called for its Government to revoke OceanaGold's right to mine in the nation.

New Millennium extends iron ore agreement with Tata Steel

New Millennium Capital Corp said it extended the exclusivity agreement with India's Tata Steel  for the development of its iron ore projects in Quebec by two months, sending its shares up more than 14 percent.

在水泥生产过程中，首选遇到的问题就是石灰石破碎。世邦机器经过多次试验、改造、研制出了深腔颚式破碎机，颚式破碎机分粗破和细破两种，是目前 使用最广泛的破碎机，具有破碎比大、成品粒度均匀、运行成本低，结构简单、维修方便等优点。该破碎机为深腔设备，破碎行程长，利于物料粉碎，破碎工艺一次 完成，进料力度达到125mm～750mm，可破碎抗压强度不大于320Mpa的物料，比较同类产品，产量更大。
深腔颚式破碎机破碎方式为曲动挤压型，电动机驱动皮带和皮带轮，通过偏心轴使动鄂上下运动，当动鄂上升时肘板和动鄂间夹角变大，从而推动动鄂板 向定鄂板接近，与此同时石灰石被挤压、搓、碾等多重破碎;当动鄂下行时，肘板和动鄂间夹角变小，动鄂板在拉杆、弹簧的作用下离开定鄂板，此时已破碎石灰石 从破碎腔下口排出，随着电动机连续转动破碎机动鄂作周期性的压碎和排料，实现石灰石批量生产。
经过多次试验和改进，该破碎机打破了锤式破碎机锤头与料块直接打击强行卸料的破碎方式。变为石灰石在动鄂和定鄂之间运行，通过挤压、搓、碾等多 重破碎，来回反复形成细料，而撞击后的大块料被击起，形成自打状态。黎明深腔颚式破碎机内部材料全部采用耐冲击、耐磨材料，所以石头在被挤压起撞击过程上 形成反击状态，使料块相互撞击，减少板锤与料块直接撞击，降低了能量消耗。
