Coal imported to China from Vietnam amounted to 4.65 million tonnes in the first four months, contributing over 70% of Vietnam's coal exports, according to Vietnam's general statistics office.
Vietnamese coal exports totaled 6.64 million tonnes in the Jan-May period of the current year, down 25 percent year on year.
In addition, the value of the country's coal exports in this period amounted to $638 million, roughly unchanged year on year due to higher coal prices.
